Synopsis

A struggling writer (Tommy Schaeffer) copes with writer’s block and contemplates his career choices.

It all used to come so easily to him. He sat down and words flowed from him like water cascading over Niagara Falls. Now, not so much. Every day the agonizing torment grows, the blank page stares at him, mocking him, until one day he erupts. Spewing words of condemnation and hate for other successful writers such as David Mamet, Quentin Tarantino, and James Cameron, he stews in his own lack of imagination, the frustration causing him to question his choice of profession. Maybe, just maybe he should have followed in the footsteps of his father, a successful engineer.

This short film was produced for the IFP Phoenix Breakout Film Challenge. It premiered on Friday November 18, 2011 at the Phoenix Art Museum.
